What I read they will concentrate on using PrEP medicine for patients who are hiv negative high risk .
Truvada and now newer one Descovy ,they applied for approval for PrEP.
GILEAD changed dose of Tenofovir in Descovy and they claim it has less side effects now .
Some patients who took Truvada suing now Gilead that they didn’t do it sooner .
Anyway this is not 100% protection .
Lately I read that 7 patients on Truvada as a PrEP developed HIV
Truvada and Descovy both don’t treat drug resistant HIV and actually patient can develop resistant virus on this treatment ..
They also will be educating about using prevention ( condoms )
Yes still needed with PrEP. drugs .

Also they talking about better treatment , and needle exchanges to drug addicted patients ..

There is nothing else what can be done right now , and actually all those things are not new , and in USA in 2017 we had over 39,000 new patients with HIV .

So to have a plan is good but I can’t see this happening without a cure and vaccination.

But this is just imo .
