According to a story in AsiaTimes, South Koreans are going nuts on buying crypto -- with over 7% saying they bought crypto in the past year, and the average holder has over $6000 in crypto. In take advantage of this trend Samsung is embracing crypto by building a wallet into S10 and plans to issue a coin call Samsung Coin. It has partnered with Ledger of France to move forward on this.
Anyone know if this encryption is a competitor or is SFOR/BSafe in on this?
“Galaxy S10 is built with defense-grade Samsung Knox, as well as a secure storage backed by hardware,” it announced at the launch in February adding that the device can house the private encryption keys for what Samsung called “blockchain-enabled mobile services.” Ledger is best known for its crypto storage wallet, the Nano S, and the synergy between the two companies is clear."
