DECN continues to make steady progress toward their goal of creating a lower cost and more precise strip technology that is FDA approved. I am sure that other companies in this market space are paying close attention.
Yes, because DECN's target diabetics are users of legacy meters. DECN strips work on an important select group of these meters, covering almost 4 million current U.S. users, but at the same time these diabetics are using older or lesser meters that cannot take full advantage of the "TBG" effects -- ever. So, DECN is coming out with meters that do take full effect of the TBG precision.
Now, why is this important? Because DECN does not initially have to spend tens of millions of $$ advertising the advantages of their systems unlike every other competitor. And that is why a legacy meter manufacturer in the market space will be paying close attention. They would, in a deal with DECN, receive market ready super advanced ... and patent protected technology. And that is priceless.
