It is obvious that the correction was prompted through this message board bringing the mistake to light. I would take the bet of "a month of your handsome new salary" any day. How much would that be anyway, and who would be your employer. Why did you become so antagonistic from your first posting in response to the subject matter being mentioned?

How did you know the attorney erred, or as you framed it, made a typo so quickly? Wouldn't you have had to contact the attorney or CEO for clarification regarding the "typo/error"? You are obviously not skilled at making bets, unless losing is your goal.

You were right that is was all about nothing, though. News on the appeal will certainly be welcome and more topic worthy.
