MSP - I don't think it was deliberate. Nobody wants to put their damn phone down. The phone companies don't want anyone to put their phone down. The phone makers don't want anyone to put their phone down. I would have thought the Insurance companies would have stepped up, but, they can always raise their rates to fix their bottom line to account for additional claims/liabilities due to DD accidents. Eventually, the car manufacturers will eliminate DD - as they have already started. How many people have to die in the meantime????

I really thought "the billionaire" (still think it sounds like a reality show) would be the difference maker - AND, HE STILL MAY. I thought he might have a personal stake and subsidize the cost and/or insist the apps be included in every car sale. History is filled with "difference makers" and he can be one. Think about all of the options we get in our cars that we don't really need, but, we don't get DD apps which can save lives.
