Thanks for proving to even the most naive reader that you do not wish well for this company.
It is a huge success when a drug (or medical device, if they try to have it classified as such in Europe, which is much more liberal with their interpretation of the term) has great success preventing, or shortening the duration, or reducing the severity, of a PREVIOUSLY UNTREATABLE CONDITION.
There was NO treatment that PREVENTS Oral Mucositis in any patient -- until IPIX's drug came along.
The FDA wants to approve drugs that can help such untreatable conditions. They have approved other drugs which helped only 30% of the treated patients.
To claim that the Phase 2 was anything but a great success shows one or more of these things:
• a lack of understanding of the condition and its previous untreatability;
• a desire to paint the Phase 2 success in the worst possible terms
• an attempt to mislead unknowledgeable investors.
More than one of these may apply.
