I can see how if misiu lived 20 mins from NYC and also visited the Cathedral many times, she could be reminded with the burning fires. The twin towers a symbol of America and the Cathedral a symbol of France.
Of course with 3000 people dying on Sept 11, and the war that followed, the cost of human life has no comparison between the two events. I don't believe misiu was claiming that. Just that it reminded her of it. When I first read her post about the Cathedral burning, my first thought was, Is this a terrorist attack? How many people have died?
So I guess, since that was my first question, the burning images subconsciously initially reminded by of Sept 11 also. I'm very glad it wasn't though.
