U.S. stock futures gain after China rate cuts
MADRID (MarketWatch) — U.S. stock market futures built on gains Thursday after a surprise cut in China interest rates. The People’s Bank of China lowered both its benchmark and deposit rates by a quarter-point, with the move taking effect Friday. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (CBOTJM2) rose 72 points to 12,491. S&P 500 futures (GLC:SPM2) gained 10.50 points to 1,319.40, while Nasdaq-100 futures (GLC:NDM2) advanced 16.50 points to 2,566.50. Oil futures rose, while gold futures and the dollar both eased back
