Ted, I am making an assumption based on the PR, the year of testing w/o measurable degradation and the fact that a display was modified to demonstrate the operation of the perovskite QD LEDs in a display for OEMs in San Marcos.
All the technology exists for QMCs new QDLED Commercialization in existing LED Factories. The all-important difference is the QD lens or cap. it's a drop-in solution. Any LED OEM can license and do it. Actually, a QDLED OEM is necessary to supply QDLED to Display makers. We'll see.
Re Solid-state lighting the same QDLED for display can be adopted and adjusted for lighting. If ready for one then ready for the other. Obviously, SSL can wait a little longer because priority is displays and starting up QDSC Factory, but it won't be long because R&D is done.
So I am not apologizing for reading into known facts, but they are there for everyone to see and draw their own conclusions if they don't like mine.
