Trding - if we look in your post at political polls from CNN and MSNBC , they agree with this statement ..
"In reality the polling shows the majority of the public usually backs policy position preferred by Democratic ( should be Democrat ) Party "
They will also agree with your post that Ms Pelosi is so trusted...
Bu that is not in many other political polls..
If you look at President Trump approval in Rasmussen polls and Huffpost posters , it is about 48-51 %,
Ms Pelosi is 28-29%
It is very difficult to do proper polling now since majority of media became political activist.
there are very few real journalist left , most don't report news , most make a news...
In Rasmussen polls 48% believe that gov do to little to protect our border,
28% think they doing to much.
67% think illegal immigration is a very serious problem,
32% think it is not serious...
So majority recognize the problems and are worry...IMO
