Ah yes. Perhaps Mr. Hoover was not the greatest President, but he was a great American. And he, of all people, knew that there are all types of assassins. He was an engineer and probably did not have the capacity to understand the difference between the important and the very important. Mr. Hoover was also not the best pragmatist. I am an engineer too but over my career I became a pragmatist and perhaps I didn't ever understand the difference between the important and the very important, but along the way I understood the difference between doing things totally right, and doing the totally right thing. Message board posters make like they do not understand these concepts.
