RP had found the HER2 link before. What is new is the CTC link,
“Expression of CCR5 associated with HER2 in circulating tumor cells (CTCs)”
CTC is associated with cancer metastasis. So this new CTC connection gives stronger evidence that a CCR5 inhibitor can help with the HER2 population, because a CCR5 inhibitor will make it harder for these HER2 positive cancer cells to become circulating to begin with.
