A small but meaningful step in the right direction occurred when a House panel approved a marijuana banking bill. Interested, google House Financial Services Committee SAFE Banking Act. Again it may appear to be a small step and the Republican controlled Senate may ignore any form of marijuana/cannabis legislation but the banking industry seems to like the bill (I presume they have some pull). Equally important, sponsors of this bill are emphasizing the dangers inherent from having an industry handling huge amounts of cash in the absence of banking regulatory controls.
