I certainly respect the letter from the company, but cannot accept the idea of reducing all the existing shares to 1% or less of what the company will be in a few years when the O/S returns to 100 million shares or more, which it will do with half a billion shares still authorized.
I believe that if they announced that no reverse split will be done, the share price will return to at least $.15, probably more. If 100 million more shares were issued, it would bring in $15 million, at that point they'd have issued roughly half the authorized shares, still plenty of room for growth.
With that money, if patents and trials are successful in the next years time, I've got to believe that we're at a share price of $1 or more, the sale of 10 or even 25 million more shares should bring in sufficient funds to go a lot further, and they still have under 300 million shares outstanding. At that point, if they wished, I believe investors would happily go for a 1 for 2 that would bring us back to 150 million shares, or a 1 for 3 to bring it down to 100 million. I'm uncertain that such a R/S would be required, the price could well be at or over the $4 Nasdaq requirement in the not to distant time frame, and investors should be more than willing to permit the O/S to go higher for future growth.
What's important to current shareholders is, at that point existing shares outstanding would still represent roughly 50% of the total, do what's being proposed and they'll represent 1% or less.
