Exclusive: Reuters Journalist Withheld Damaging Info About Beto O’Rourke Until After Senate Race
March 17, 2019
Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke has a fair amount of skeletons in his closet.
However, it’s also come to light that O’Rourke’s skeletons were purposefully concealed by a Reuters journalist until after O’Rourke lost the Senate race to Ted Cruz.
In layman’s term, the journalist intentionally hid the damning information about O’Rourke so that it would not serve as harmful to him in the aforementioned Senate race, reports The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Everything You Need to Know
A fair amount of digging into O’Rourke’s past unearthed the fact that he previously maintained status as a member of the Cult of the Dead Cow (CDC) hacking group.
Interestingly enough, the Democratic presidential candidate was not a CDC member for a short time period; O’Rourke maintained his status as a hacking group member for decades, from the time he was a teenager to at least late 2017 .
The journalist who chose to hold onto this information about O’Rourke did so at the behest of the Cult of the Dead Cow.
The group reportedly refused to confirm O’Rourke’s status as a member unless the journalist agreed to hold off on publicizing the information until after the Senate race. As one might imagine, this decision has attracted a fair amount of scrutiny; nevertheless, the journalist insists that he originally remained unsure about the validity of rumors surrounding O’Rourke’s membership.
Special:
The Double Standard
There’s absolutely no secret that Democrats and Republicans are often held to very different standards.
At this time, there is very lackluster mainstream media coverage of O’Rourke’s membership within the Cult of the Dead Cow.
On the other hand, it would be interesting to see how the press would react if O’Rourke were a conservative or if a Republican were discovered to be part of a hacking group for decades.
