As the new world was being discovered and explored. Many Population center's in the new world were devastated by the diseases carried by explorer's and settlers from the old world.
Free trade, free markets... traveler's and imports from everywhere. Pandemic waiting to happen.
7.4 Billion people and climbing. Very hard to control and Democrats and some Republican's want open boarder's.
