No argument and this has been ongoing for years and years but there is a small chance that the reason for the significant increase in Authorized Shares is for a merger (perhaps with a Chinese manufacturing company). As I'm sure you're aware, there is a rather significant distinction between Authorized and Outstanding shares.

Mathematically, I can't see them doing it to raise additional capital because the stock isn't worth anything to start with which is what leads me to believe this might be a legitimate business play.

Either way, none of us knows what we're talking about so I guess we'll just see how this all plays out.
