Baltimore money manager T. Rowe Price Group Inc. is among the principal stockholders in Facebook, according to the social network’s $5 billion initial public offering filed Wednesday.
T. Rowe owns 6 million shares of Facebook’s “A” class of stock, or 5.2 percent of shares outstanding, and 12.2 million shares of Facebook’s “B” class of stock, 0.7 percent of those shares. The B shares carry 10 votes apeice, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg owning 28 percent of them, while the A shares are worth one vote and are the class of shares being offered in the IPO.
