I doubt it was a mistake. They know a bunch of angry investors are going to show up. They don't want anyone speaking who is going to rock the boat. But, bring public they have to include the opportunity and allow one, they just don't let anyone know about it.

This vote is as rigged as the Clinton Sanders Primary. Its going to happen.

FYI this is pretty common for stocks doing a reverse split. They are using a well used playbook.

The best way to endure a reverse split if you really like a company, is get out. Wait for the split and the dilution which follows and then buy back in.
