most individuals taking medical marijuana are not looking for the psychotropic high,...in fact they want to avoid that.
they are consuming it (MMJ edibles) for the benefits the CBD's (there are 114 cannaboids available) for the healing benefit.
the THC in the edibles are already in the state it needs to be to be combined in the edibles.
that is why if you took a handful of raw marijuana and ate it you wouldn't get high. but if you took that handful and threw it in a mixture of brownies and baked them (heat) then you have some fun party brownies. ;^)
