The fact is, and it isn't visible to all, only to those who actually look, that LCD display is a part of an assembly that includes many whiz bang features including Apple Talk. It had to have come from a cell phone. That is a hint. The only point made was that KB didn't choose a cheap route. GenUltimate TBG is going to need an impedance measurement module (let Hi-There explain the why behind the science). This display assembly has it built in.
On top of that the human engineering of the meter is great.
