I was informed by TDA that it is supposedly the company doing the stock split (either a RS, or a FS) is the one that is charging the fee. I had called BS on them and told them that Merrill Edge never charged me for companies doing stock splits. I then asked them to waive the fee. Two days later I was reimbursed.
