They are on top of things at this point. They brought John Blackington onboard on the advice of Gerry David. Christian Vega was not onboard yet. That came later.
They acted on Gerry David's advice based on his reputation, and didn't have any way of knowing that John Blackington was not going to bring much to the table.
To make matters worse, Gerry David and John Blackington both scoffed at the Mexico initiative, stating that it was "a waste of time", because they had tried to get into Mexico and failed.
Another member of the management team knew better, and with Christian Vega and the rest of the folks in the wheelhouse, pursued the Mexican strategy full throttle. Brilliant, IMHO! It will prove to be the move that fast tracks this company into a global success.
