She's long gone and your speculations on the reasons behind private decisions are just that. You want gubmint to look over the shoulders of doctors and patients and make decisions for them?
Most of the country doesn't want that.
Particularly from busy-body, know-nothing, wannabe theocrats.

You could walk into almost any bar in any Red State and hear conversations that would endorse all of that.
Racism, anti-Semitism and homophobia, if not in the platform of the GOP, has been in it's DNA, in it's 'dog whistle' politics, in its 'southern strategy', for decades.
