it was always, IS, about smart fencing, sensors, drones, more border guards, more X-ray equipment for ports of entry, electronic visas and e-verify.
That last one is what would keep hypocrites like Trump from hiring cheap, illegal workers. Ditto for a lot of GOPER small businesses, farms, meat packing plants.... but Nooo, they need their profit margins.
