Quote:Don't Worry, GOP
I know you think in terms of revenge – that’s who you are. But we Democrats have more important concerns than exacting revenge on the party that put an idiot like Trump in the White House.
In other words, you need not fear that the Democrats will collude with the Russians to elect one of their own “assets” to the US presidency. We don’t do treason – that’s your shtick, not ours.
No Democratic president will be handing over classified information to Russian operatives in the Oval Office, or – in some game of one-upmanship – will be taking the word of Putin over that of our own intelligence agencies.
Rest assured we would never get back at you by putting a dumb-ass buffoon in the White House. Besides, even if we wanted to, we have no one on our side of the aisle who could possibly match the stupidity of the semi-literate idiot you foisted on the nation.
So even if we were out to get you by outdoing your “pResident’s” stupidity, we simply don’t have the appropriate personnel.
We won’t be electing – and then supporting and enabling – a corrupt, bloviating liar to govern our nation just to “show you” how it feels. We won’t be relinquishing our sworn duty to represent the People in order to adhere to the whims of a mentally unstable con-artist.
The next Democratic president won’t be nominating anyone to the Supreme Court who spends his confirmation hearing talking about how much he loves beer, or asking congress members if they’ve ever blacked-out from drinking.
The next Democratic president will also not be nominating a credibly-accused sexual predator to the SCOTUS. Again, that’s your area of expertise – having successfully done it twice.
The next Democratic president will fulfill his duties by working rather than tweeting and watching TV. He/she will read their daily briefings in full, and will rely on the expertise of competent advisors – instead of relying on the inane opinions of their children, TV show personalities, and/or other assorted ass-kissers.
Be assured that the Democrats will do in future what they’ve always done. They will put the welfare of the nation and its citizens first. Making your lives miserable – although tempting – won’t be the focus of people who will be extremely busy undoing the damage your “pResident” has done.
As much as you’re going to hate having all three branches of government under Democratic control – which is where we’re headed – there is an upside for the GOP.
You won’t have to spend every hour of every day defending a lying, pussy-grabbing traitor – and lying yourselves in order to cover up your own possible (probable) complicity in crimes against the country and the American people.
So chin-up, Republicans. Once you get over the fact that things like patriotism, honesty, the rule of law, morals, ethics, and a competent administration are back, you’ll survive – or not, as the case may be.
Take comfort in the fact that the Democrats won’t be doing anything to prove they can be just as despicable as you are by electing some treasonous douchebag to the highest position in the land.
We figure you’ll get your just desserts as you watch your powers fade, your supporters abandon you, and face the political PR nightmare of having to explain why you ever elected a traitor in the first place.
