You should lament your inability to discern fact from fiction, but that's a failure of education more than a failure of the media.
It's that educational divide on this board, no less than in the country writ large, that is the cause of the misunderstandings and hatred.
I don't feel sorry for those who need to misrepresent the positions of others, engage in sweeping generalizations, racist stereotyping, fall for evidence free polemics and outrageous conspiracy theories.
It was either a failure of education or the inability to apply sufficient effort to the educational opportunities presented.
