Purchasing depressed shares of a company on the open market does not help a company's business, in fact, driving the price down decreases the value of the company.
The share price declined dramatically during the period you bought. Unless you bought them from the company directly, all you did was pay another penny trader for his shares while taking advantage of a declining SP.
Now, tell the board how you don't think SP has anything to do with your actions.
I am sure you do not care about a return on your investment, do you, as it was all a humanitarian response on your part.
You now get to wear the "Penny Trader" hat.
