What would be so bad about doing a RS soon to uplist and then following that later if need be with a forward split? I know it's been mentioned before along with the fact that institutional investors need liquidity and would need to be able to buy lots of shares.

I searched for info on the cost to of conducting a stock split but couldn't find that. I don't know if a forward or reverse split is that expensive but kinda doubt it.
