In no way would I advocate such a high ratio. There’s no justification and that would clearly scare away most investors. This is the type that others mention seeing and being toxic as those companies just issued more shares since their authorized amounts didn’t change.

To protect shareholders in a good reverse split, the authorized shares would need to be reduced. This would provide the optics that the company isn’t doing a split just to dilute further.
