A couple of the posters on iHub are still incorrectly assuming that there is some kind of competition between Omega and $TMPS for the USN contract whereas in my subject matter expert opinion it is a question of whether $TMPS is awarded an additional USN contract.

As I have already demonstrated in my multiple posts here, there is more than enough work available for anyone who can come up with a fleet of aircraft and crews and meet the required readiness requirements.

As posted originally last year, if the $TMPS Tristar fleet is based at Newport News [new $TMPS Company HQ location], it will be conveniently located to provide air-to-air refueling and palletised cargo / passenger transport services to 18 x squadrons within the 4 x Carrier Air Wings based at the huge USN Master Jet Base at NAS Oceana, VA which is just 45 miles away.
