I agree - we are seeing more traders scale in now for multiple reasons - all clearly laid out on the board here for the past several months:
- US DoD contracts for the taking for any civilian company capable of meeting the readiness requirements for scheduled and / or on-call tasking of "probe-and-drogue" air-to-air refueling. It is not a matter of competition with Omega.
- Additional opportunities for short-term contracts with other NATO air arms and for overseas deliveries of US-manufactured aircraft that use use "probe-and-drogue".
- The US DoD military tanker shortfall will exist for another 10 to 25 years.
- Given the long-term problems and expense with the KC-46A program - let alone the planned follow-on programs - there is every likelihood that permanent contractorisation of elements of the overall US task might be considered (in the same way the Royal Air Force now uses a totally contractor provided fleet).
- There are opportunities for growth by various means: buy more "off the shelf" proven European tankers: eg A330 MTT, A400M.
- There may be opportunities to buy surplus tankers from various military air arms: eg French Air Force KC-135F.
In addition, $TMPS is already an accredited US DoD contractor with several multi-$ contracts for the provision and operation of special mission aircraft.
