Bob g - the bid/ask aren't of much use in after-hours trading. After-hours trading can result in low volume profits, but the trades usually don't have an effect on the real market value of the stock.
As the market opens, the bid/ask will draw closer and the real market price will be established. After-hours bid/ask can be a barometer of what will happen when markets open if they both move in a negative or positive direction. That help?
