China has almost put 4 new nuclear reactors into service in the past year, if my memory serves. They have a very diversified energy portfolio.

I can’t say the US has been able to take advantage of nuclear. We’ve been shutting down plants left and right. Granted the shutdown ones don’t have economies of scale since they are all single units sites with output about half of a larger unit and 1/4 the output of a large two unit site.
