Important note. Most NATO fast jet and transport aircraft that are equipped for the "probe and drogue" method of air-to-air refueling will already have the necessary procedural clearances to refuel from ex-RAF Tristar aircraft.
The USN F/A-18 definitely does.

This will not be the case immediately for any other ex-civilian airliner types that may be bought for AAR conversion as the market for civilian defense contractor provided AAR services expands in future years.
This will give $TMPS a competitive advantage - as will the fact that the Tristars are already equipped to be used in a flexible manner for troop transport, to carry cargo pallets in the main compartment, and / or medivac stretcher fit + in-flight ICU with rapid re-role possible.
