Starwood merged with/into Marriott.
Last week Marriott gave an update on the Starwood database incident (2014- Sept 10, 2018). They say the Starwood database has been discontinued and all reservations now run through the Marriott system.

FWIW
"Marriott International, Inc. is a leading global lodging company with more than 6,700 properties across 130 countries and territories, reporting revenues of more than $22 billion in fiscal year 2017 ."

It's a really big company with a lot of brands

Certainly Marriott is now looking closely at better securing their systems. If they haven't already added SFOR IP to their systems, I would imagine in one way or another, they will be doing so eventually.
