Brand new speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi made an embarrassing flub during her first speech to Congress, admitting that she “skipped a couple pages” of her prepared statement. This damaging admission was caught on a hot mic right after she finished her remarks to the chamber.
We always knew that Pelosi wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but this moment just shines the light on her incompetence.
“As we take the oath of office today,” Pelosi stated, “we accept responsibility as daunting and demanding as any previous generations of leadership have faced.”
“Guided by the vision and values of our Founders, the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform,” she added, “and the aspirations that we have for our children, let us meet that responsibility with wisdom, with courage, and with grace.”
“God bless you all and God bless the United States of America,” she concluded just a few moments later.
Then she embarrassingly announced on a hot mic; “I think I skipped a couple pages. I’m not sure,”
