Here is the difference with me versus other naysayers (as you call them). I admit when I am wrong about a subject. Hope you can prove me wrong some more.
IMO, you are giving him too much credit for the "negotiation". He is not THAT good of a salesman to Negotiate from $330,000 to $2000 or $1200 whatever. After talking to DE the low amount was always on the table. My regret was not confirming how DE works with paying past due fees. I thought the number posted was the number owed.
While an audit is not necessary, I guess you would trust Steve to do one now that the hurdle he discussed is out of the way. It also doesn't explain why SB had to take out a toxic note with the Canouse Brothers in October if he is flush with cash.
