Kind of silly. The auto companies have been very profitable since the bailouts 10 years ago. Most of their overseas manufacturing is for sale of cars in the markets in which they're made.

You know, like what BMW, Mercedes, Toyota and many other foreign auto makers have done opening factories here?

Now why would they do that if they couldn't make a profit paying American workers completive wages and benefits to make their cars?

Facts almost always trump ideology.
