19-year-old Mexican national has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a U.S. Border Patrol agent in southern Arizona.
The incident occurred Wednesday night south of Bisbee, Border Patrol officials say.
A Tucson Sector Border Patrol agent responded to reports of a possible immigrant who had crossed the border illegally.
Authorities say the agent confronted the 19-year-old man. The migrant fought with the agent and then hit him in the head with a rock.
The agent was taken to the hospital and has since been released.
The migrant briefly fled but was taken into custody.
