Yes it was a good move to buy Optical Chip Maufacture Luxtera. Light and Fiber Optics is what moves our data faster and faster.
Of course when revenues for the last Quarter of 12.8 Billion it's easy to go on a shopping spree as the did this year, with some spare change in your pocket.
Luxtera is the sixth acquisition announced this year by Cisco, which is actually on the low end of the number of companies bought by the networking giant. It bought nine companies in 2017, seven in 2016 and 11 in 2015.
