That is not right - there is nothing that compares to the Regentys product for Ulcerative Colitis. The only options now are either drugs that have a lot of side effects and aren't that effective, or surgery. The market genuinely needs another option. The Regentys product is a liquid that turns into a gel, and then coats the ulcers which then allow healing. It spurs healing of the affected colon layers. Yes, it is administered rectally but so what? People have colonoscopies all the time, and that is much more invasive.

The plan is also to use this eventually for the Crohns disease market, which is an even bigger market ,with no really good treatment at present.
