Those studies, were they paid for by big pharma to universities that know if they don't give them what they want they will get no more studies? You are too easy to fool hawks.
Check out the first drug diabetics get, Metformin. It blocks glycogeogensis, which is getting glucose from health fats, like meat, nuts, and avocados. So, a diabetic who is not over weight must eat more carbs to get their energy. Type 2 diabetes is an clergy to carbohydrates. So a diabetic has to eat more carbs and his diabetes worsens. I am seeing more non university studies showing the statins make diabetes worse. So, my doctor made my diabetes worse on 2 counts.
And by the way, in like 2002/4 when Lipator was ramping up, the FDA conveniently lowed what was acceptable for the bad cholesterol. Incidence of heart attacks by age has not changed much since statins came out.
