Probably a CYA announcement account of the potential for lawsuits against Etrade. What it means for shareholders is totally unclear. Would like to know what Etrade is doing about those "anecdotal trades" that should never have occurred, and what volume they represented.
Ah heck, it doesn't really matter to me one way or the other. I'm holding my shares thru 2019 to see if the existing and proposed acquisitions do create a positive cash flow, and if so, what they do for the pps. So Etrade's screw up (along with TDA's) is just noise at this point, and in 6 months will be forgotten. At that point, the financials and the potential for future growth will control the pps and either we'll all be very pleased or once again, we will all be looking for that permanent "Sucker" tattoo for our foreheads!
