Amazon bought Twitch in 2014 for $1B. It was generating $16MM and losing $4M. If tech companies are valued on revenue alone as some would like others to believe, why didn't Amazon just buy it for $50M? Why did they pay 62 x revenue? Twitch is now worth 4x what Amazon paid for it.
