I was thinking the same...….about people who wake up on 3rd base and think they hit a triple.
The pipeline, not finished, will ship tar sands gunk to the Gulf for export. It has had no impact on American supplies or on gas prices.
But when the inevitable pipe line spills occur we'll all pay.
Fracking DID take off under Obama so yeah, the U.S. oil self- sufficiency we now have began under Obama.
