Here's the curve ball. Adobe, Marketo, Salesforce, Oracle, Odoo are all cloud service providers. These days, that term pretty much covers most of the software industry as they all are providing services from the cloud as well as some on premise.
But which ones are really in the data storage and bandwidth selling business? They all could theoretically sell storage and bandwidth, but do any of them actually sell both?
I've negotiated a number of cloud deals. None charged for bandwidth and many gave me unlimited or a ton of storage built into my monthly fees.
I know two company that are quite successful at selling storage and bandwidth because they basically flipped that model. No different that if AT&T or Xfinity ever said, "Hey, we aren't going to charge you a monthly fee for your internet anymore. Just going to charge you for what you use".
Everyone should do their own independent due diligence and not based your investment decisions on what you read on a message board.
