Vaccine against mouse Alzheimer's seems to have some efficacy. Create antibodies against tau.
But, how many times have we seen this before? We can really help a mouse with Alzheimer's, but all those drugs that help them do nothing, or hurt, humans.
I hope this one is different, but there could be all kinds of longer-term side effects that are not going to be apparent in a mouse, since we can't check its verbal ability, whether it has a headache or other painful side effects, etc. Plus, a mouse may not live long enough for long-term bad things to manifest.
