This is a good article about the atom and electron movement in Perovskites. The big trick that has yet to be resolved is the electrode or counter electrode that will carry the charge from the Perovskite. It has to a material that has to work with the perovskite and will not degrade, be a great carrier without sending the charge back into the perovskite, etc.
Gold works best, silver works good until things degrade. There has shown promise with double walled carbon nanotubes. Most electrode materials will cause a perovskite that is say 20% efficient to drop down significantly, say 12%.
It would seem that if QMC can manipulate an electrode material to work good, stable, great transfer, they will have a real winner in solar cells.
If you see good articles about electrode development with the perovskite solar cells it would interesting.
