I think it comes down to the intention of the comments being made.

There are comments that are focused on the DD or co potential from real investors who aren't fooled by instigation or hearsay. Follow through with due dilligance and make their own decisions. Put information out there as a resource, rather than impress their agenda.

There are comments from people who signed up to "bash", contradict, or be negative to either hurt the company or the stock.

Now, if someone owns shares, why would they speculate negatively knowing very well they are costing themselves money? And why would they try to influence others negatively rather than focus on investing for themselves......
